CLI Christian Leadership & Ministry Classes 2023

 

A ministry of American Baptist Churches of Indiana & Kentucky in cooperation with ABC-Greater Indianapolis along with sponsoring American Baptist Churches & Associations growing, equipping and enriching Christians for ministry in their home churches, communities and associations.

GENERAL CLASS INFORMATION:

  • Participants are not required to commit to a leadership program!
  • Those seeking topics for personal enrichment or continuing education are welcome! CEUs available upon request!
  • Other Christian Denominations are welcome to participate as well!
  • Each class title consists of:
    • 20 hours of instruction, enrichment & interaction divided four (4) live non-consecutive sessions of five (5) hours each
    • outside reading along with assignments and/or projects which enrich class discussion and each student’s learning experience
  • Class sizes are small and instructors meet each student where they are in their faith journey and educational capabilities.
  • It is strongly recommended students attend all class sessions, but those students committed to earning credit have the opportunity to earn one (1) excused absence per class topic.
  • Students are expected to arrive (or log-in remotely) each scheduled live class session fifteen (15) minutes early.
  • Please RSVP as soon as possible to help us determine if a class can be held.  We need 5 or more students for each class topic.
  • If you are not officially registered by the Monday before the first class session is scheduled to meet (and you know you plan to participate), it is very important to verbally RSVP by that date, so we can plan and prepare for your participation. Thank you for your courtesy and cooperation.

Students may choose one of a variety of ways to participate in this experience:

  • Type of Registration and Commitment
    • Audit the class for a lesser fee – no credit to be earn; preparation & attendance at student’s discretion (Spouses of students with paid registrations may audit class sessions for free, if space is available in the classroom).
    • Earn Credit for the class as Enrichment Student – commitment to a full program isn’t required to pick and choose class topics of interest.
    • Earn Credit for the class as a Program Student – application needs to be on file & a higher level of communication is expected; Currently, a Leadership Program (8 class topics & 2 workshops) and a Ministry Program (13-14 class topics & 2 workshops) exists.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION:

REGISTER EARLY & SAVE!! CHURCH GROUP RATES AVAILABLE!!

If registered by the EARLY registration deadline for a class title:

  • $125 for individual registrations
  • $99 per person for groups of 3 or more from your church
  • Audit students-only $60 (breaks down to only $15 per class session)

After the Early Registration Deadline:

  • Normal Registration is $150 (postmarked between early date & reg date for the class topic on reg form)
  • Late Registration is $175 (postmarked after the reg date for the class topic on reg form)
  • Audit students-only $80 (breaks down to only $20 per Saturday)

What a BLESSING for 20 hours of classroom instruction & interaction!  Most one-day conferences cost that much!

We are able to provide 4 days in the classroom at the average cost for a one-day conference experience, because of mission giving to support…
