John Dunlap

I was born in Indianapolis; have 3 siblings and attended Perry Meridian High School.  After high school, I attended IUPUI for 6 ½ years and obtained my BS with an accounting major.   One of the best accomplishments of the 6 ½ year plan is that I “paid as I went” and only owed $1,100 in debt upon completion of my degree.  I maintained full-time accounting employment during this time and for most of my life, but also opened a lawn / landscape company in 1992 and kept it open until July 2018.

I met my wife, Marti in 1995 and we married in 1996.   We have two sons, Dustin (21) and Logan (18) and live in Franklin, IN, where we have lived the majority of our married life.   I enjoy family and woodworking, where I can be found the majority of my “free” weekends.  My entire family is saved and we love Jesus.   My life verse is Colossians 3:17 and I strive everyday to be a better person and someone that Christ would hang my picture on his refrigerator.
