Wendy joined the staff of ABC-IN/KY in August 2021. She enjoys serving the Region through various aspects of ABC-IN/KY ministry and is well-versed in Baptist life since she is a lifelong ABCer, a pastor’s daughter, and served for many years in church relations positions for Baptist Homes of Indiana (now known as BHI Senior Living) and Franklin College.
While with Baptist Homes, Wendy staffed ABC Senior Adult Days, two annual Conferences on Ministry with the Aging, and a yearly Retired and Ministers Spouses Reunion. She served on the ABC-USA General Board and American Baptist Home Mission Societies Board (starting at the time of the national restructuring around 2010). She also was on the ABC Homes & Caring Ministries Board and regularly represented Franklin College at American Baptist Association of Colleges and Universities national meetings. Many might remember Wendy from when she hosted the ABWM of IN/KY Summer Conferences for Franklin College or held various displays at national and regional ABC events for over 10 years.
In her free time, Wendy spends time with family and friends going to music, theatre and sporting events. Weaving, reading and working in the garden are growing interests for her. Wendy attends Greenwood First Baptist Church, an ABCGI Region congregation close to where she resides, and currently serves on the Board of Franklin Heritage, Inc./The Historic Artcraft Theatre (historic preservation organization in Franklin, IN).
