Rev. Steve Allen served as the (part-time) Interim Region Minister for East Central Indiana from January through July 2022. He also served as Pastor of First Baptist Church of Osgood (IN) from 2014 until August 1, 2022. He was on the Region Board of the ABC-IN/KY from 2016-2020. Steve had served as Associate Pastor at FBC Osgood from 2008-2014. From 1998-2007, he was the Children’s and Youth Pastor of Aurora First Baptist Church, as well as Interim Pastor with Aurora from 2007-2008.
After graduating from the University of Tennessee, Steve met Debra (formerly White) of Versailles, IN, while the two were studying at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY. They were married in 1990 and received their Master of Divinity degrees together in 1992. Debby has served as Chaplain and Patient Advocate for St. Elizabeth Hospital – Dearborn in Lawrenceburg since 1997.
Steve and Debby have two daughters, Olivia and Sophie. Olivia, a Ball State University School of Communication Studies graduate, is married to Joshua Parker and they currently live outside of Fayetteville, N.C., where Josh is serving in the 82nd Airborne Division. Sophie is at the University of Cincinnati studying Environmental Engineering. Steve likes to slip away for nine holes of golf, a short hike, or a few fishing casts for whatever is biting whenever he is able.
He works with churches in the following Associations: Bethel, Coffee Creek, East Central, Laughery, Long Run, Madison, Orleans, and Sand Creek. (See Directory tab on homepage.)
